Advocacy is at the heart of BASO’s mission. We are the voice of Southern Oregon’s building industry—working tirelessly to protect, promote, and advance the interests of our members. From local city councils to state legislatures and national policy discussions, we are present where it matters most.

Each year, BASO participates in more than 100 meetings with government and regulatory agencies, ensuring our industry’s perspective is heard and respected. We build relationships with decision-makers, influence policy that keeps housing safe, affordable, and sustainable, and stand up for the needs of builders, suppliers, and the community we serve.
